3-way tie for the lead in Iceland

      Iceland, National Championship

Three players are leading with 3 points after 4 rounds in the Icelandic Chess Championship.

      Report by Halldor Gretar Einarsson

      Bolungarvik Chessclub

In fourth round two of the favorites, GM Henrik Danielsen and IM Jon Viktor Gunnarsson, lost their games. IM Bragi Thorfinnsson win against Danielsen was very important for him and will give hi
m a good run for next rounds. Gudmundur Gislason is one of two players who are playing on home ground. His win against Gunnarsson was deserved and he is in mood to make effort to win the trophy.

Where’s GM Stefansson? I thought he’s the defending champ.
