      Chess tournament, Czech Republic

      32nd Tournament of Young Talents
Organized by the Beskydian Chess School in Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic

Beside the official World and European championships, the Chess Talents Tournaments in Frýdek-Místek are without question one of the biggest and most representative events for the European chess youth. The main event of the Festival is the 9-round Swiss tournament of young talents.

In addition, a round robin tournament for the Grandmasters, two round robin tournaments for the IM norms, and a 9-round Swiss Open will be held concurrently. The Festival takes place over Easter, from 18th to 25th April, at the Národní dům in Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic.

The high organizational standard of the earlier events traditionally attracts numerous top chess players from many European countries. There is an impressive list of players who have participated in Frýdek-Místek over the years – T.Radjabov, S.Movsesian, D.Navara, S.Azarov, D.Howell, M.Socko, N.Zhukova and J.Jackova.

In 2010 Frýdek-Místek celebrated 75 years of organized chess activity. The present body that continues the history is the Beskydian Chess School, which is the most successful base of youth chess in the Czech Republic.

Beskydian chess school takes care of complex development of youth, and during the year organises numerous meetings, tournaments, summer camp, international children exchange, etc.

Exact schedule, more information about the tournament and about relevant activities of the Beskydian Chess School can be found on the official website.
