      34th Benasque Chess Tournament 2014

      Spain, Villa de Benasque


      The 34th edition of Benasque International Chess Tournament is taking place from 4th to 12th July 2014 in Benasque, a town in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees.

      The event is a 9-round Swiss, valid for FIDE and FEDA rankings, and provides the opportunity of winning title norms. The time control will be 90 minutes for the whole game + 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.

      First seed is GM Julio Granda Zuniga (Peru).

      The top prizes will be as follows:
      1. 4.000 € + Cup
      2. 3.000 € + Cup
      3. 2.000 € + Cup
      4. 1.000 € + Cup
      5. 800 € + Cup
      6. 700 € + Cup
      7. 600 € + Cup
      8. 500 € + Cup
      9. 400 € + Cup
      10. 400 € + Cup
