      40th Selangor Open

      Chess tournament, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

      The 40th Selangor Open will be held at DAT Chess Connections, 4th floor, Wilayah Complex, Kuala Lumpur from 26th April to 1st May.

      The schedule is plan in such a way to accommodate working adults and school-going children from Selangor and KL without applying for leave from office/school. While, foreigners / local players who resides outside Klang Valley can use the weekdays to visit places of interest within KL.

      For players who wish to take part in this event, please send an e-mail with Your Name, ICNO, State that you represent, FIDE Rating (if any) to selangorchess@gmail.com in order to reserve a place for yourself in this oldest chess event in Malaysia, certified by Malaysia Book or Records.

      The fees that you need to bank-in into CAS Standard Chartered Bank Acc: 794-1-4102906-2 before 18th April 2013 (after applying RM 30 discount)  as follows:

      Selangor player (born / schooling / working / resides) WITH FIDE rating >> RM 90
      Selangor player (born / schooling / working / resides) WITHOUT FIDE rating >> RM 110

      Others (NOT born / schooling / working / resides in Selangor) WITH FIDE rating >> RM 100
      Others (NOT born / schooling / working / resides in Selangor) WITHOUT FIDE rating >> RM 120

      After you have made your payment to the bank account stated above, please email a scan copy of bank-in slip to selangorchess@gmail.com.

      The total prize fund is RM 10,000/= in cash where the Champion gets RM 2,500/=, 1st Runner-up gets RM 1,500/=, 2nd Runner-up gets RM 1,000/=, and so on. All-in-all, 35 prizewinners will be receiving cash, while 12 players from the Best School/IPT category will receives a trophy each.
