      Chess League, German Bundesliga


      5th and 6th round of the Schachbundesliga

      The 5th and 6th round of the Schachbundesliga and two matches from round 7 will take place from the 11th to the 13th of December, 2009.

      The top matches of the weekend will take place in Hamburg and Heidelberg. Bremen, the team at the top of the league, will face at Sunday in Hamburg runner-up Wattenscheid. Both teams are well known for their fighting spirit so all spectators can await a long and exciting match. The second top match will take place in Heidelberg where Eppingen will challenge OSG Baden-Baden. In the last rounds Eppingen lost some important points and is highly motivated to astonish the german champion.

      5th round: Saturday, 11th of December 2009, 2 pm

      Bayern München – SC Remagen

      Playing venue Heidelberg (Routing)
      SK Heidelberg-Handschuhsheim – SC Eppingen
      OSG Baden-Baden – SG Trier

      SK König Tegel – SV Mülheim Nord
      SF Berlin – SF Katernberg

      Playing venue Hamburg (Routing)
      Hamburger SK – SV Wattenscheid
      Werder Bremen – SK Turm Emsdetten

      6th round: Sunday, 13th of December 2009, 10 am

        How come other websites don’t cover the German Chess League? They have many good players.

        Considering the tremendous rating advantage, I expect Baden-Baden to score at least a +5 against Heidelberg, anything less and they better start thinking of playing in the “other” Bundesliga 😉
