      Husek Vienna Open 2012

      The Husek Vienna Open 2012 is taking place on 13-19th August at the hippodrome Krieau, Trabrennstraße, 1020 Wien, Austria. The tournament is organized to mark the 40th anniversary of the Schachklub Husek Wien.

      The tournament has four playing groups, all being held over 7 rounds of Swiss system.

      The Group A has 170 participants from 29 countries. Top seeded is GM Kiril Georgiev and the top local player is GM Markus Ragger. Full list bellow.

      The Group B, reserved only for players rated under 2000 elo, has 84 participants. Group C (U1600) has 45 players and the Kids Group has 23 players.

      Top prizes in the main tournament are € 2.000,- € 1.500,- € 1.000,- € 750,- € 500,- € 400, etc.
