Bundesliga final 2008/09
The last two rounds of the Schachbundesliga take place 28th and 29th March 2009. OSG Baden-Baden is top of the table and faces Solingen and Wattenscheid at home. The team from the Southwest of Germany needs only two points to celebrate his fourth title in a row.
The teams of Solingen, Tegernsee, Eppingen and Bremen are fighting for two qualification places for the European Club Cup. Tegernsee and Bremen seem to have the best chances thanks to their easier schedule.
After Tegernsee withdrew his team for the next season and Dresden is far behind at the bottom of the league most likely Trier and Munich will be the two further relegated teams.

Who’s the strongest player in this league?
That would probably be Anand (for Baden-Baden). However, plenty of strong players in this league (Naiditsch, Movsesian, Shirov, Carlsen, Gustafsson, Arechschenko, Svidler, …). Not sure if Ivanchuk is playing anywhere, probably not this year though he used to.
