Is he the greatest Armenian ever?
Wow Ivanchuck just blundered a won position vs karjak is this blind chess?
“Is he the greatest Armenian [chess player] ever?”
The answer is yes.
Petrosian didn’t really have all that much to do with Armenia. He was born and grew up in Georgia and then he moved to Moscow and lived there for the rest of his life. So besides Armenian roots, Petrosian really didn’t have all that much to do with Armenia.
Tigran Petrosian was an Armenian, and he was the world champion 63-69. That is hard to beat!
