      2008 Premier Pawn Championship

      Chess Tournament (for grades 6-12)
      March 1, 2008
      Premier High School, Lubbock, Texas

      WHAT: 4-Round Swiss in 2 Sections: Knights (Beginner), Bishops (Experienced)

      Time Controls: Game/30 or Game/25 with 5 second delay. Chess sets are provided. Bring your own clock, if you have one. Ties for first place will be
      decided by tie breakers. This is not a USCF rated event.

      WHERE: Premier High School, 3501 50th St, #124, Lubbock, Texas

      WHO: All students grades 6-12; Limited to first 76 entrants

      COST: $15.00 registration fee, $20.00 late registration.

      REGISTRATION: Must be RECEIVED by February 25, 2008.
      Limited to the first 76 entrants

      ROUNDS: Round 1 starts at 9:30am. Please arrive by 9:00am to check in.
      Following rounds will be at: 11:00am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm

      FOOD: A food concession will be available.

      PRIZES: Individual awards 1st thru 10th; Team awards for 1st through 3rd
      Susan Polgar will play a simultaneous exhibition with the 1st and 2nd place winners of each section, immediately following the awards ceremony.
