
The 2007 North American Youth Chess Championship is taking place in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Here is a message from the governor:
Governor Message
Welcome to Aguascalientes, children and young chess players from the USA, Canada, Bermudas and Mexico. Congratulations for your interest and enthusiasm for this exciting discipline and my greatest admiration for the great expertise and skill with which you practice it.
Aguascalientes receives you with open arms, according to our long tradition of warm hospitality and friendliness. I wish you the most pleasant, comfortable and exiting time during your visit, as well as the best of lucks in the competition.
I am sure that, with us, you will feel at home, because, just the same as you, we enjoy challenges and we thrive with any opportunity to excel and surpass our previous achievements.
On behalf of the people of Aguascalientes, I also want to thank the Confederation of Chess for America for all its trust and support in allowing us the opportunity to host this great event. We have put all of our best efforts in its organization and I am certain that it will bring enormous satisfaction and joy to everyone participating in it.
