One man already faced the court according to Danailov

      Bulgaria, Kramnik, Topalov

      Russians attack against Topalov
      10 February 2007 12:50

The scandal surrounding the accusations that the Bulgarian Chess player No 1 Veselin Topalov is winning his matches unfairly, continues to gain strength. In its issue from today the Russian magazine Komersant publishes an article, which states that the Bulgarian gross-master received advice from his manager Silvio Danailov during a tournament in the Dutch town of Wijk an Zee and there was even a video recording of it.

Because of this, the Association of Professional Chess players will probably investigate the case of the Russian accusations. Silvio Danailov said he would seek responsibility from anyone, who is undermining the prestige of Veselin Topalov.

‘One man already faced the court. This is Martin Breutigam, who works for the German Süddeutsche Zeitung. Kommersant is also to face such claim’, Danailov said.

Veselin Topalov is currently in a Spanish village training for the Morelia-Linares tournament, which starts on February 17th.

This was published in the I Focus Information Agency of Bulgaria.

If it goes to court, you can be sure that all the evidence about Topalov will come out, and even though its unlikely that cheating can be proven there is so much uncertainty Topalov will be forever tainted, if he is not already.

As I read the kommersant article and the Chessbase texts, all that is said is suspicious behaviour and the possibility of cheating, so the most Danailov can hope for is defamation of character. Given what we have all seen of their characters, it seems hard to understand how such a bad reputation could be tarnished further.

If Danailov can produce the Corus tapes in Court and display convincingly that Breutigam is making up things passed as facts then he has a bona-fide case. Obviously, you cannot fight this without some factual evidence coming forth. I somehow cannot imagine that Danailov is so stupid as to be popping in and out of the playing area, while making phone calls in between. Let’s see what happens this time. This is exactly what has been called for him to do – come forth with the evidence. I think that a Courtroom is a better venue than ACP, or even FIDE.

Danailov is probably egocentric enough to believe that his usual line of banter i.e. Topalov world N1 Russians jealous KGB plot to discredit world N1 conspiracy jouranlism…will work in court….

My favourite chess trainwreck just gets better each day. I love this man Danailov, its like a Soap Opera isnt it? What will he think of next?

Nevermind a toiletgate book someone should pitch a TV producer.

We have evil cheating flawed genius being foiled by the KGB plot with microchips implanted in every second player, secret codes of hand signals…dirty tricks…the Oligarchy of FIDE and its mysterious and hyper rich president reporting into the Russian political hierarchy to lose the evil Bulgar…

Its already sounding better than the Bold and the Beautiful (granted..not hard). They could probably give it a half hour slot after The View 😀

        I like the word “gross-master” 🙂

However, these cheating accusations are even more ridiculous than the
        ones brought up by Danailov.
Still there isn’t much one can do.
        Newspapers can write almost any
garbage they like, as long as the
        article stays a bit fuzzy.
That’s why they don’t directly write

“Topalov is a cheater” but rather
something like “It seems” or “it
        looks suspicious” and so on.

Notice no one is talking about Kramnik cheating now.

1-0 for Kramniks evil PR team.

Susan had been biased towards Topalov all the way from the beginning. Now, she is going down wiht him. With everyone else laughing at them. This was a climax for utmost stupidity.

So, finally we can see the Corus tapes of Danailov and Topa, made available by Mig on youtube:

Ich habe das Video geschaut und musste lachen! Herr Breutigam & CO sind ziemlich tief gesunken. Das TRAGISCHE dabei ist, es gibt Leute, die tatsächlich diesen Quatsch glauben. Wie war es: Nase kratzen = Zug mit dem Springer? Fataler Fehler, wenn die Nase juckt und Danailov sich spontan kratzen würde!

Aber ich möchte nach wie vor das Video “Kramnik alone in his restroom” sehen.

Who are Kramnik’s evil PR team ?

It seems like everybody other than Topalov, Danailov, Susan and fools or evil people like you.

Observe that evidence is building up from different sources. Lots of GMs are standing behind the accusation. You might call them being jealous of the mighty Bulgarian chess star Topalov. But can you explain me why they were not jealous of Kramnik when he got the world championship title from Kasparov in a match in which he did not loose a single game, and had been at top of the rating list for almost a year (2800+) ?

The psychology of Topalovs fans is in many respects more interesting than Topalov himself.

They admire his aggressive and interesting style of play, seeming to believe that this alone should entitle him to win every game.

They neglect the fact that even with a gifted game in Elista, Topalov still didnt win.

They dismiss every suggestion of foul play as being motivated by jealousy or revenge, while at the same time lending credence to Danailovs equally suspect accusations without any hint of realising their abject hypocracy.

Its very classic of a certain type of person, who believes the best should win everything and that aggression should always triumph, and that it is blasphemy to question the behaviour of your idol, and those who are not with you (fellow Topalov supporters) must be against you (and support Kramnik).

So many parallels to the world today in this little dispute, do you not think?

Goran the moron is quite obnoxious, isn’t he? He’s a known liar and cheater. Isn’t he the same chump who ripped people off for his e-chess newspaper?

Goran, I deleted your post for posting false information. This is not the first time you have done this. You then repeated your false information at Mig’s blog.

There are 2 links on this post. One is on the bottom in the word “This”. The other link is on the title. If you click on the title, it would take you to the article.
