      A friendly game

      Canadian Youth Championship, Fairmont Laurier

Leeam was playing a friendly game against a Canadian youngster. I was told that his name is Joshua Doknjas and he is about to turn 5. I was quite impressed with what I saw in him.

Mom looks like she’s critically assessing the position. 🙂

The Canadian youngster’s name is Joshua Doknjas from Vancouver, BC. He is one of the youngest members of Golden Knights Chess Club:

and has come to Ottawa to support his brother John (boys U8), as well as learn what the finals are about. You will hear from this boy in future. Thank you Susan!

On the site you list is listed under Silver Knights Chess Club? Is a different club?

There is only one club with 2 groups:
Silver Knights is the beginner/ intermediate group
Golden Knights is the advanced group
One can promote from one group to another by obtaining good results, or passing a test.
