Keeping it civil and respecting others mean:

– No insults
– No personal attacks
– No inflammatory posts
– No criminal activity
– No legal or threats of any kind
– No condescending, offensive or obnoxious posts
Having free speech does not mean the having the right to insult, attack and harm others. Any anonymous post that borderlines these rules will be automatically rejected.
Can a post be accidentally rejected? Unfortunately, yes. The buttons to click accept or reject are so small and they are right next to each other. Unfortunately, all moderators of these blogs accidentally clicked the wrong one before. For that, I apologize.
If you feel that your post was unfairly rejected, please feel free to send an email to chessnewsletter@aol.com and the message you would like to post. There are at least 30 posts daily that contain profanity and inappropriate context. This is why there is a need for precaution.
The idea of me spending hours and hours every single day to create create and maintain world-class chess blogs is not to allow a few bad apples to ruin it and make it unpleasant for everyone. I would like to have an enjoyable place for chess players and enthusiasts to come and discuss or share ideas.
I will not allow this blog to become like other forums such as the USCF issues forums or rec.games. Thank you for honoring my rules and please feel free to let me know your ideas of improving this blog for everyone. Thank you for your support.

From what little time I have written anything here, I think the moderators have done an excellent job building this fine chess blog community into something that has a kind spirit to it.
Moderators have a tough job, and we owe them consideration, and honor their decisions.
If someone does break the rules, it should probably first be determined what the motives are using wisdom, and perhaps diminishing good-will for repeat offenders.
Some folks have an attention deficit, or want to simply test the rules rather than answer blog questions or subjects being discussed.
Some just need to communicate with people that likewise appreciate chess. These folks should be given another chance if they inadvertently cross a line.
Here is a good story on the blog ethics. Mig Greengard recently made numerous false statements about the hotel in Stillwater, Canadians & MonRoi and posted them on his blog.
Mig posted false US Championship venue review, which would turn away any credible visitor-“This hotel is unkempt and dirty. The stairs are rotted out, none of the equipment in the exercise room worked. The sheets were dirty with crusty stains.” — “The back stairs are rotted out and dangerous, the jacuzzi in our suite had mildew in all of the jets, no mattress pads on the beds…”
He falsely claims that Canadians dropped religion, that the Canadian dollar is worthless, that people from Canada are jerks (or viagras), and his “anonymous” blog users claim that Canadians have no right to speak, even when they are right.
MonRoi is a company based in Montreal, which sponsored the US Championship and publicized the chess players and organizers worldwide. MonRoi customer service received complains from clients related to Mig’s blog. When they informed Greengard that some of his blog posts are false and defamatory, he turned around and misled the readers that this was related to free speech on MonRoi products and that the company threatened him with a law suit. In fact, MonRoi just made him aware on the international laws – – free speech is protected and welcomed, but no law protects false speech or defamation.

If you don’t people to insult you, drop out of the USCF election. Don’t you get it? We don’t want a woman running the federation. We want Don Schultz, Stephen Jones, Sam Sloan and Joe Lux to be elected.
Susan, there were two posts with gargabe regarding coming USCF election posted in your story on Sponsorship in Chess.
I hope these clowns get voted out!
We need and want Susan’s professional team to make USA a great chess country again. If China and India can do it, why not USCF?

Susan, we don’t appreciate you running for the board. You’re clearly not qualified. Mr. Schultz, Mr. Jones, Mr. Lux and Mr. Berry are more qualified than you. They’re also Americans so they know how things work. You don’t. You should drop out of the election now and vote for these men.
To Anonymous who posted at 7:22 p.m. Everyone can read what actually happened, when it happened and how it happened at Mig’s Daily Dirt blog, and make up their own minds. Your post has, I believe, mis-interpreted and mis-stated facts and events.

How absolutely hilarious – Sam Sloan and his cronies have to post here in order to get anything they write read these days. LOL! Gee, I wonder if Mr. Sloan will qualify for unemployment compensation???
