      ACP World Cup is website launched

      The Association of Chess Professionals (ACP) and the Bank Pivdennyi are glad to announce that the official website of the 1st ACP World Cup was launched on 3rd January 2007.

      The website’s address is: http://worldcup.pivdenny.com/en

      The tournament, which is organised by the Bank Pivdennyi, will take place in the Londonskaya Hotel, Odessa, Ukraine from 4-8 January 2007.

      Among the sixteen participants there will be four players of the world’s Top Ten as well as other stars. The highest rated players of Ukraine, Hungary, Spain, France, Israel and other countries will play in Odessa.

      The event will be attended by the President of the World Chess Federation Kirsan Ilyumzhinov. The world-famous Grandmaster Viktor Korchnoi from Switzerland will act as the official commentator.
