I think Carlsen should really think about concentrating on his Chess instead of the other activities. He’s been less than spectacular lately. We’ll see if he has the fibre to bounce back I guess….but these other distractions seem to be hurting his chess.

Adams is a good player. I think Wang Yue being taken apart by a 2400+ rated player is a real eye opener.

Spending time modeling clearly hurt him. He should focus more on chess.

Carlsen decided to put his knight to h5 on move 3.

After that he managed to lead his other knight via c6, e7, f5, g7 to the same square.

You cannot win games by playing inferior moves and maneuvers, even if you are an outstanding player.

Well yall give the kid a break, ya see in chess you have chess theory and practice, and like i mentioned to Susan a week or two ago i said to her it looks to me like they just over there practicin with my old stuff, i think they usin the tricky words , “new and interesting positions as substitue, anyway, because they basically realize they just plain old ignorant , they gunna lose alotta games tryin to learn,oh Susan have you seen any of the top guys in the back room startin up a good game of marbles?

        Maybe Carlsen shocked Adams?

What was he thinking? Seriously, what was he thinking? 2…Nf6 and 3…Nh5 :-0 This was clearly Kasparov prep!

I think he’s probably not playing that serious too – keeping his real opening game under cover for now. It may not hurt if they are gonna start underestimating you a little either.
