      Sultan bin Shakhboot issues two resolutions on Al Ain Culture and Chess Club

      WAM AL AIN, June 5th, 2013 — Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Shakhboot Al Nahyan, Chairman of Al Ain Culture and Chess Club (ACCC) has issued resolutions to assign Mohammed Amin bin Abdullah Ahmed Al Zarouni as Executive Director of the Club and to assign Nasser Al-Amri, as Executive Director of the Global Peace Festival and the World Youth Chess Championships.

      The Global Peace and World Championships Festival are being organised by the club in collaboration with the Emirates University from 17th – 29th December, 2013.

      Al Zarouni attended the first meeting with the technical teams of the club, calling on them to maintain pace with developments in the country and the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030, to develop the Emirate in various fields, as well as keeping up with the plans and programmes of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council for the development of sports in Abu Dhabi Emirate.

      He requested the refurbishment of club facilities and the exploitation of all available resources to develop the administrative and technical potential in the club and provide follow-up and lectures at the club’s headquarters, in order to achieve awareness of the nation’s youth and to develop their abilities and talents, as well as the need to catch up with summer activities and cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Education Council in the programme “Sayfuna Momayaz”.

      Al Zarouni also discussed with the teams the arrangements for the establishment of a ceremony to honour the occasion of the Club winning the “Cup of Excellence” for 2012.

      For his part, Nasser Al-Amri began to review arrangements for the Al Ain World Youth Chess Championships in December, especially now that the World Championships will be held for the first time under the title “Global Peace Festival”.
