      Anna Muzychuk, Chess Simul

World Junior Champion Anna Muzychuk hosted a simul in Torino
100th anniversary of Società Scacchistica Torinese

Società Scacchistica Torinese celebrated the 100th anniversary this weekend with a 25-board simultaneous exhibition by the World Junior Champion Anna Muzychuk.

The session lasted about 3 hours and 40 minutes during which Anna played VIP guests, journalists and good players of the club – one player is rated 2200, ten players rated between 1950-2050.

Anna had a small ‘crisis’ at the end of the third hour, when a couple of blunders ruined at least 3-4 games. The final score was 18 wins, 6 draws and 1 loss. Candidate Master Mario Giacometto pulled a victory against the Grandmaster, while Tiziana Barbiso, Francesca Matta, Enrico Ferrario, Andrea Grinza, Manuel Miglietta and Massimo Settis achieved draws.

This attractive event was covered by the Italian television and with many articles on the national and local newspaper. ANSA (Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata), the leading wire service in Italy, also reported about the simul.
