Congratulations to Aronian, the new Blitz Chess King! Lahno is the current Blitz Chess Queen after winning the title earlier this year.
Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Congrats to Nakamura. 4-5th place for the 1st approach is OK.
Karjakin seemed to be more successful against top-contenders than any other player!
That tells!
I came to say I studied the results of all 3 days. Naka kept pace with the best after the slow start. With this for experience, I hope to see Naka win next year.
If this had been using a mouse on a computer screen, then Naka probably would have won. I would think he needed to get some practice pushing wood in 3 2 games.
Go Naka we are all cheering for you.
The young chess guns showed they are ready to take over from the old guard. I am now 67 and let me tell you my mind is clear as a young gun but I have slowed to a crawl. haha.
I have gone from 1 0 and 3 0 games to 15 0 games because I like to play good chess and not just win on time and my mind is too slow now. It takes me a few seconds minimum to make a move. Naka can do it in a fraction of a tenth of a second. I have watched him gain time on the internet he can move so fast.
Old people should get a time handicap.
Nakamura finished behind Gelfand who is old enough to be his father. Enough said. Too much talking, too little good results.
