      Needing only a draw against Leko to share 1st place, Aronian went all out and handed Leko his first loss in the Nalchik Grand Prix. Aronian finished a full point ahead of the field.

        Great game.
        Looking at Aronian’s success, I think part of it must be great nerves to go along with his fabulous technique. He seems to make fewer blunders than other top players.
        Poor Leko, I worried about the queen from the moment it went to f5. I don’t recall seeing that plan before.
