      Published by Chessdom.com

Anand, Kramnik, Shirov and Karjakin to represent the World

The central event during the President Cup, scheduled to take place on 7-9 May in Baku, will be a chess match between Azerbaijan and the World.

The World will be represented by some of the strongest players of the present day – current world champion Viswanathan Anand (India), former world champion Vladimir Kramnik (Russia), winner of the tournament in Wijk aan Zee Sergey Karjakin (Ukraine) and Alexei Shirov (Spain).

Azerbaijan is lining the team composed of all top rated national players – Teimour Radjabov, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Vugar Gashimov, Gadir Guseinov, with possible participation of Rauf Mamedov.

The match will be played in Sheveningen format, where each member of one team meets all players from the opposing camp. The President Cup is celebration of the birthday of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.

Adding a link to the source would be polite

There are 2 links to the source. Perhaps you’re trolling? If you click on chesdom or the title of the post, both would direct you to the source. Susan does link to the source in all her posts. Maybe you can apologize for making a stupid accusation?

I don’t understand the first anon either. There are clearly links to the source which is chessdom. Perhaps he/she just missed it?

If you click Azerbaijan vs. the World, it will take you directly to the source. So does the word chessdom. Perhaps the first anon didn’t see it because it’s a dark link?

So this will be a rapid event, right?! Still nice to see but I would have much more enjoyed games at proper (long) time control…

They would never invite Aronian beause Azerbaijani and Armenians are in bad terms for some political reason

So as long as you include a link or two, it’s acceptable to republish someone else’s article word for word? I don’t think so.
