Garry Kasparov: My visit to Baku not possible

In an interview with an Azerbaijani news agency, ex-world chess champion Garry Kasparov stated that he will not visit Baku for the chess Olympiad unless Armenia and Azerbaijan settle the conflict until 2016.

“Everyone knows what kind of relations Armenia and Azerbaijan have now, that’s why my visit to Baku at the moment is impossible. While there’s a conflict between the sides I can’t come to Baku. I believe it’s already time to settle this conflict, which harms only ordinary people. The sides should eventually find the way out,” said Kasparov.

“Maybe Armenia and Azerbaijan will settle the conflict until 2016, then I will think about that; but now it’s meaningless to talk about that. While there’s a conflict my visit to Baku is not possible,” Chess-News quoted him as saying.

Then Kasparov should boycott the US for allowing tens of thousands of innocent people to die in Syria.

Once again, Kasparov just wants attention. He can’t stand the fact that he’s no longer at the top of the chess world.

If the conflict isn’t solved no Armenian teams will go to Baku! Plus the dormitory axe murderer who could and would murder all Armenians and be pardoned and proclaimed a hero over and over again!

Finally Garry is doing some very useful thing. But why cant he follow the same with other similar cases? Yugoslavian republics and China-Vietnam-Philipines for example.

Kasparov should read some history before saying those words.
