Sometimes being too close to an event you don’t have benefit of actually seeing how the finished project looked. We knew it looked good, what we didn’t know was how good it looks.
My mother asked me to teach her to play chess after she saw the matches. We had people huddled over TV monitors in the green room cheering over moves! We had visitors from the Tennessee Chess Association giddy over the fantastic chess they saw and how well it was done.
But in post production, thats where it all comes together and thats where real magic happens. I have heard the the editors are more excited over this project than anything they have ever worked on. This reaction is from people who edit and produce hundreds of shows a year.
I can’t help but feel that this is a great opportunity for the rest of the world to hear your message of how chess can help our children. My own eight year old was crying because she couldn’t see the monitors well.
SO, July 24th,2005 at 11am cdt and 12pm EDT chess masterminds goes on air. It would not have been the sussess it is without you being there. I thank you. You are indeed the Queen of Chess.
