        I think its silly….
        sort of like two teams..
I period of hockey then a spelling bee in between periods till someone scores or misses a word.
        Ridiculous.

Hope that does not offend anyone.

I think it’s amazing. A new kind of challenge.

Not sure what Fischer has to do with this. His only association with boxing was being jealous of the money Ali earned.

I share mis3u ‘s assertion of amazement. Chess has suffered too long from a notion that it is a game for nerds. This version can change that image once and for all.

What’s better than taking up a sport that develops both physical and brain faculties!

Yet creating this “perfect” super person that is both smart and physically strong, and promoting such a sport should be done with some supervision or control. For some reason I have these fearsome association of the Arian race promoted by the notorious Nazis and I don’t need to remind nobody of the dangerous consequences such material can be shaped when reached the wrong hands.

In conclusion I say it is a great sport and I congratulate the German winner whole heartedly. Yet the growth of the sport should be subjected to some kind of sophisticated control that can bring it to its best, avoiding the wrong turns.

        Hopefully I clarified myself
        Best wishes
        Abie

Its dumb…..I can’t beleive people actually support such a silly thing.
Why not make swimmers compete in the pool then play scrabble?? or tennis players play a set then play bridge….I agree with comment#2….it’s ridiculous..haha…and its even speed chess…(cheese is more like it…) Its like eating a big plate of spaghetti and then seeing how fast you can run….I mean..thats just stupid.

Yo, as a chess player and a chessboxer I can tell you its hard and fun…as training after every move you do 3 push ups…after 30 moves its hard to think…there is also an iron brain competition running and chess called schlauf. German chess – schach and lauf – run…

Better idea. See how fast you can eat and vomit up gallons of ice cream between matches. That Japanes kid who can eat 100 hotdogs a minute would probly be the world champion.
