      Chess Federation of Canada has announced the lineups for the World Chess Olympiad, which will be held in August in Istanbul, Turkey.

      National Team:
      Grandmaster Bator Sambuev, 2011 Canadian Chess Champion
      International Master Leonid Gerzhoy
      International Master Nikolay Noritsyn, 2007 Canadian Chess Champion
      International Master Eric Hansen
      International Master Edward Porper, 2009 Canadian Open Chess Champion
      Captain FIDE Master Victor Plotkin

      Women’s Team:
      Woman International Master Natalia Khoudgarian, 2011 Canadian Women’s Chess Champion
      Iulia Lacau-Rodean, 2011 Canadian Women’s Chess Championship – 2nd
      Woman Candidate Master Alexandra Botez, 2011 British Columbia Women’s Closed Chess Champion
      Woman Candidate Master Jackie Peng, 2011 Canadian Amateur Chess Champion.
      Woman Candidate Master Liza Orlova, 2011 Canadian Girls U18 Champion
      Captain FIDE Master Jura Ochkoos

        Fail to see why there should be any more interest in Canadas line up than there should be in say….Iraq..or Gyanna.
        Its a rather poor team and nothing to take note of.

        Canada is going to finish ahead of Iraq or Guyana (Not Gyanna) easily.

        Because you can’t spell too well, anyone reading this blog should question your opinions on chess.
