Capablanca brilliance Chess tactic, Puzzle Solving White to move. What is the best continuation for White? Capablanca – Steiner (Los Angeles, 1933), presented by Andreas r2q2r1/pp2n1kp/2p1pp2/4p2Q/4P2N/2PP4/P1P3PP/R4RK1 w – – 0 17 Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
I’d like to think that Rxf6 should win for white, given how exposed black’s king is. Did not calculate it ’til the end though.
yep ,it wins , the rest is pretty direct , Kxf6 , Rf1+ , Kg7 , Rf7+ then mate on h7 with the queen .
Thanks for the puzzle Susan
well, i looked at it too quickly , black can play Nf5 after Rf1+ , but it wins anyway

Rxf6 can be followed by ..Rf8 which prevents black from losing (in the near future).
Hi all,
just looked it up on chessgames.com. It really is brilliant! Capablanca first sacs a rook and the knight, chases the king to the queen side, sacs the second rook and mates…
