I wonder if Wesley So has paid the federation transfer fee ($50,000) after he won the Millionaire Chess. Any info. Email me please pilapil.jim@gmail.com thanks

Even though GM Wesley So won $ 100 k in the Millionaire Chess ($ 60 k after tax etc), he wont be crazy & stupid enough to pay the € 50 k euros to the National Chess Federation of the Philippines to effect his transfer to USCF. Its already too late as the Fide Grand Prix series (which offers slot to the Candidates Tourney) has already started. Assuming arguendo he will pay, still & would be able to join the 2015 Chess World Cup (which offers 2 slot to the Candidates) he is still not assured of winning it or be runner-up. Given this scenario, NOT Paying € 50 k euros is a smart decision. Besides, GM Wesley So 2 year waiting period (if no consent to release from NCFP or payment of € 50 k transfer fee) will EXPIRE on August 2015. Which means by September 2015, GM So will already play under the US flag. So why pay? Just wait for few months… unless he is crazy & stupid which I think he is not 🙂

Anon 10:36:00 PM is absolutely correct.

August 2015 is the end of the 2-yr waiting period.

Wesley is not stupid to put his hard-earned money into a pocket of a known-convicted-corrupt-political-appointee Prospero Pichay of NCFP.

In retrospect, Wesley indirectly scored the biggest upset of his life when Pichay lost his FIDE candidacy bid this year.

Voting Chess Federations worldwide took notice of Pichay’s corrupt / incompetent / deplorable actions on how he mistreated Wesley after he won the Philippines first-ever Gold Medal at the Universiade in Kazan. Wesley’s netizen supporters, including myself, propagated this corrupt politician’s consistent garbage treatment of Wesley. This is further highlighted when he and his henchman confronted Wesley , Coach Susan and Paul Truong in Tromso.

THIS IS SICKENING TO THE GUT!!!

This is how “MFKer” this Pichay is.

The only way to keep his corrupt lifestyle going is by licking Peping Cojuangco’s balls and a$$. The latter is an untouchable dude – not even by his nephew President Noynoy Aquino, who doesn’t have the balls to eliminate the House of Corruption (Senate & Congress).

That being said, I am very happy Wesley is switching to USCF. He will be at piece and focused more than ever to pursue his ultimate dream: to be a world chess champion.

I hope Ino Sadorra, Mark Paragua and the young phenom Alekhine Nouri will switch to USCF too.
        Please switch NOW!

For as long as Pichay and the rest of his cohorts are managing the NCFP, this organization remains a rotten garbage!

Late FIDE boss Florencio Camponanes should be turning in his grave ever since Pichay et.al. took over the reigns he once managed at the highest level.

        My message to Pichay:

        1. GET A REAL JOB
        2. CONFESS YOUR SINS
        3. BE A PERFORMING ROMAN CATHOLIC
        4. BE HONEST TO YOURSELF
        5. BRING STOLEN MONEY BACK TO YOUR
        BOSS..THE FILIPINO PEOPLE.

        And lastly…

        6. Print (and blow it up) my above comments and
post it in your office and in your living room so
everyone could read including your own family.
