Hikaru did better than expected here. He was only good for 4 draws but got 6. Great job!!

Congrats to Nakamura. He did not fail a lot of people’s expectation that he will finish last. Thanks Naka, you did a very good job. You made me and somebody else richer when we bet against you in Vegas.

Great job indeed for the tail ender. He got 6 draws thru the kindness and generosity of Caruana and Vachier Lagrave in the last 2 rounds. The only player in the tourney who had never win a single game just struggling to make a draw. That only shows his capability is way below from the group, very humiliating and embarrassing. Poor poor very poor boy..

I hardly think that the ones here bashing Nakamura have any clue how hard it is to compete at that level. I wonder how their chess stacks up against the top players in the world? Or is that not open to criticism and mockery also?

I believe Naka deserves all the bashing he’s been getting from the fans. They are just returning the favor to him. He is the only player we know of, bashing other players with his big mouth. And the only player proclaiming to the world that he is more smarter than the other players that he is the only person who can beat Carlsen. This guy is a fraud getting too many support for his disgusting behavior.

But he proclaimed that he is the best in the world, yet when he lose, he had an excuse that it is very hard to compete playing with the best players at this level. Well Naka, if you think it is hard for you to win at this level, don’t compete, save yourself from embarassment. You are the greatest pretender we have ever knew.

Nakamura deserves this kind of treatment for mocking a lot of players in this league. I hope he learned his lesson when most of the players played hard to beat him because of his mockery. They want to shut off his big mouth. Now he knows that a lot of players are super better than him.

Nakamura said he is the re-incarnation of Fischer but much better than him. I think Bobby is rolling in his grave right now. A false prophet, in order to gain followers, deceived the world proclaiming he is one, if not, the best in the world. This tournament unmasked the true Nakamura eating his ego.

Congrats to Caruana ! He should have had 9.5.

Congrats also to Carlsen — his games in the 2nd leg against Caruana and Aronian were super interesting.

To Nakamura bashers: nice to beat up on someone when they are down. It’s a class act.

A good line up for the next Sinquefield Cup next year will be; Carlsen, Caruana, Karjakin, Wesley So, Giri, Liem Quang, Aronian and Grishuk. This match up is what the world want to see. I hope Rex won’t include his cry baby Nakamura next year for he will just ruin the excitement and prestige of the tournament. He’s got nothing to show anyway, so why waste time with this wannabe.

Rex, better include Nakamura in next year cup or else, His fan base will cry foul. They will say, everybody is afraid of Naka that is why the players force you not to invite him.

Anand was smarter than Nakamura. He did not ask him to be one of his second because he knows already what this guy is capable of. Very very wise intelligent decision for Anand.

What is it with this Nakamura bashing? Surely the major point of the tournament is the incredible performance by Caruana who beat a world class field by 3 points and coasted at the end so we should be congratulating him. The relatively poor performances by Aronian and Nakamura are surely only sub-plots to the real point of interest.

I think the Nakamura bashing is, in part, a reaction to the troll that constantly proclaims Nakamura is the chess Messiah.

Naka bashing by us patzers is very painful. He is a very good player, especially in the speedier versions, so just let him be. As for Caruana, fantastic job! Could have been 8-0 had he not let super-brat Carlsen off the hook. Anyway Caruana did something that Carlsen can probably never do at this level. Bobby will approve! Now is Carlsen going to opt out of the World Championships? Surely, Kasparov out of spite, will advice him to do so. I hope not, because that will diminish his image, apart from being disrespectful to Anand.

What has Carlsen has to do with Caruana winning the cup and bashing him. All of you Nakamura fans never learned a lesson like your master. Calling Carlsen Sauron and super-brat is uncalled for. Have decency guys.
