      Cento Open Round Seven
Top games drawn, GM Alberto David still in the lead

The leader in the Cento Carnival Open, GM Alberto David of Luxembourg, held the always dangerous GM Elina Danielan to a draw with black pieces, and remained alone on the top thanks to the convenient scores on the other boards. On the second table GM Alexey Dreev’s position, in his own words, was very close to winning, but GM Aleksander Delchev escaped with a draw.

GM Igor Naumkin didn’t feel well in the morning, but he made the best deal of the 7th round by defeating IM Kenny Solomon and joining the group of players on the shared second place. That surely cheered him up. A number of all-Italian clashes finished peacefully, namely IM Bruno – GM Brunello, IM Manca – IM Morganzini and GM Godena – IM Borgo.

      Round 7 top results:
      Danielian Elina – David Alberto ½ – ½
      Dreev Aleksey – Delchev Aleksander ½ – ½
