        The annual Hastings International Chess Congress is by far the longest running international tournament.

        With interuption is Hastings, without interuption Corus (former Hoogovens tournament)held in Wijk aan Zee.

        The battles of Hastings has been ongoing right on uninteruptely at least since anno dominum 1066.

        I known this fellow pelle since 1066.
        It easier said than done to turn him off – even by the use of modern sleeping pills. But he is lousy at chess nowadays.

        Who won the tournament that year and did they play with the Isle of Lewis chessmen?
