Chess President elected President of Armenia

      Armenia, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, Serzh Sargsian

President of the Armenian Chess Federation elected President of Armenia

To President-elect Of the Republic of Armenia
President of Chess Federation of Armenia Serzh Sargsian

      Dear Serzh Azatovich!

On behalf of the leadership and citizens of the Republic of Kalmykia, on behalf of the considerable chess society and me personally, I warmly congratulate you on your resounding victory in the Armenian Presidential elections 2008.

The result that we see, after fair and true elections, proves that Armenia has again chosen the right way of democratic reforms combined with social and economic development.

I am sure that Armenia will achieve new outstanding success under your leadership. It goes without saying that the image of your country internationally will receive a new intense impetus through the chess movement that you currently lead in Armenia.

I wish you, Serzh Azatovich, health and good luck.

Let all your aims and tasks for the benefit of an ancient Armenian State be fulfilled.

      Yours sincerely,
Head of the Republic of Kalmykia
      FIDE President K.Ilyumzhinov

How many heads of chess federations have becomen President of a country? Perhaps Bill Goichberg can become the President of Nevis & St. Kitt?

Ilyumzhinov wouldn’t know what real elections look like if they bit him on the behind.

        You must be joking –
this war criminal, gangster and thief S. Sarkssian is a head of the Armenian Chess Federation ???
The crook knows how to move figures,
but, apparently, these are not chess ones.
