In spite of the apparent Black advantage due to its two more pawns, I think White stands better chances, precisely because their pawns are in a better shape.

One way (but is it the best move?) to exploit this and weaken a bit more Black pawns’ position would be :
        1. Bxc6,
then Black would take the Bishop with its b pawn, and White would be able to set up a nice attack with 2. Rd2.

My suggestion would be to play 1.Rd2 right away. As defending the bishop with 1…Rd7 would fail due to 2.Bxc5 Black will have to put the knight to d4 (1…Nd4).

Now 2.Bxd4 cxd4 3.Rxd4 Rd7 4.Qh5 and h7 is threatened. If 4…h6 then the quenn will eventually invade, which looks rather dismal for black. So 4…g6.

The white position is already quite nice and here even the bishop sacrifice 5.Bxg6 might work, though that woud need to be calculated thoroughly.

        Regards,
        DV

Daniel – Your line looks very strong, if not immediately decisive. After 1.Bxc6 bxc6 2.Rd2 Rd7 3.Bxc5 doesn’t White win a pawn and the exchange?

Without having delved into all the lines I think I would play:
        1. Qh5
        thinking at the line
        .. g6
        2. Bxg6 hxg6
        3. Qxg6+ Rg7
        4. Qxe6+
        followed by Rd1
        or
        3 .. Kf8
        4. f5
followed by Bh6 and then Rd1

But i’m not trying to confute the line given before…
