I’m just an average player but this is what I came up with:

        Bxh6 gxh6
        Nb5 Nf4
        Qd2 Qe7
        Nd6 Ng6
        Ndxf7+ kg8
        Rxg6+ Bg7
        Qxh6 Qxf7
        Nxf7 Kf8
        Qxg7+ ke7
        Ne5+ kd6
        Qd7#

Nb5 followed by Nd6. f7 is the weakness

        1. Nb5 Qe7 2. Nd6 and Black is in deep trouble. Other Queen moves aren’t any better, they just allow 2. N:f7+ Kg8 3. N:h6+.

Nb5 to get Q off of the 7-rank, threatening Nxf7+.

        Nb5 – De7
        Nd6 – Rd8
        Ndxf7+ – Kg8
        Nxh6+ – Kh8
        Ng6#

        1. Nb5

        1.Nb5 Qe7 (trying to defend f7)
2.Nd6 and the f7 pawn falls.
(Of course not now Qxd6, since Nf7+ wins the queen.)

instinctively i would simply go fr d queen with Nb5….

        …. Qc8 2)Nxf7+ Kg8 3)Nxh6+ Kh8
        4)Nf7+ Kg8 5)N(b5)d6 Bxd6 6)Nxd6 and fork …should be an easy win

        …. Qb8 2)Nxf7+ Kg8 3)Nxh6+ Kh8 white is 2 pawns up
should be a win if played correctly

        …. Qe7 2)Nd6 Rb8 3)N(e5)xf7+ Kg8
        4)Nxh6+ Kh8 5)N(d6)f7+ Qxf7(forced) white wins easily

with 2 bishops, a rook and a queen eyeing d king
there has to be a forced mate here which i think i m missing

        2. Nd6 Red8

        (2. .. Qxd6 3.Nxf7+ Kg8 4. Nxh6+ Kh8 5. Nf7+ Kg8 6. Nxd6 Bxd6)

        I’m low rated (~1600) but I would say Bxh3 followed by Ne4

That is a crazy position. It looks like black has a weak f7. 1. Nb5 (threatening the queen and f7) Qe7 (to guard f7) 2. Nd6! (forking rook, bishop, and f7 pawn while the night is remarkably immune because of Nf7+ (forking Queen and King).

An alternative second move for white might be Bg6.

        I irritatingly missed this one.
        1. Nb5 was indeed my very first idea, it looked instinctively good. And I did see the f-pawn as a target, but I wrongly saw the field d6 as protected by a bishop!
        Typical chess blindness I guess.
