hi Susan, this is Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. he’s progressing really well. i was lucky enough to go to the Cap d’Agde rapid tournament last year where he played. The young players (M V-L + Carlsen, Karjakin, Radjabov) were too much to handle (eventually, Radjabov won). I’m enjoying watching the young players making the more established ones uncomfortable. Yes it’s Maxime , he’s pretty good for his age , hopefully he will not stop improving and manage to make good results in the future , he has the potential to do better than Bacrot has done , hopefully , he could become a consistent 2700’s player in the next decade
