      Chinese Chess Championships 2011
      Top chess event in Asia

      The Chinese Chess Championships 2011 will take place from 30th March to 10th April 2011 in Xinghua, Jiangsu, China. It will be an 11 rounds competition with time control 90 minutes for the whole game with an addition of 30 seconds per move starting from move one.

      GM Wang Yue and GM Bu Xiangzhi are top seeded in the men section, where among the top players are also GM Zhou Jianchao, GM Yu Yangyi, and the Women World Champion GM Hou Yifan.

      In the women section top players are WGM Ju Wenjun, GM Zhao Xue, and WGM Shen Yang. Scroll down for full pairings from both sections.

      This event comes just days after the Asia Zonal 3.5 championship where Bu Xiangzhi and Li Chao B qualified for the 2011 World Chess Cup, while Ju Wenjun and Shen Yang shared first in women’s event. Live games are available here, games start at 15:00 local time.

        If Hou Yifan is in it, it shouldn’t be called the “men’s” section. I think “open” section is more appropriate.
