      The All India Chess Federation on behalf of FIDE and Commonwealth Chess Association cordially invite your Federation to participate in the Commonwealth Chess Championship 2017 to be held at Hotel Park Plaza, Shahdara, New Delhi, India from 2nd-10th July 2017 organized by Delhi Chess Association.

      The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss System with 9 rounds in Open and 7 rounds in each age category events. The age category events are conducted as separate age events for Open & Girls but where there are not enough players (10 players minimum), the organizers have the right to merge section.

      Time control is 90 Minutes + 30 sec per move from move number 1.

      Winner of the previous two championships was GM Abhijeet Gupta.

      Prizes: Total Cash Prizes: Rs. 10,00,000/- (approx USD 15000)

      Open (Along with Commonwealth Medals for Open/Women/Senior)
      1st Rs.1,50,000/- 2nd Rs.1,25,000/- 3rd Rs.1,00,000/- 4th Rs.70,000/- 5th Rs. 50,000/- 6th Rs. 25,000/- 7th Rs. 20,000/- 8th Rs.18,000/- 9th Rs. 15,000/- 10th Rs. 15,000/- 11th to 15th Rs. 10,000/-each 16th to 25th Rs.5,000/- each
      Best Women 1st Rs. 20,000/- 2nd Rs. 15,000/- 3rd Rs.10,000/-
      Best Senior(+ 60) 1st Rs. 12,000/- 2nd Rs. 10,000/- 3rd Rs. 7,000/-

      Each Commonwealth country is eligible to field one man, one woman, One Senior (Above-60), one Junior Girl (Under-20), one Junior Open (Under-20) player and one open and girl entries each in under-8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 as official entrants.

      Their boarding and lodging will be provided free in star hotel on triple sharing basis. Other entrants will have to pay for the boarding and lodging at $100 (Single) and $ 60 (Double sharing) per day. Please note that, the entry fee has to be paid by everyone unless qualifying for a free entry under the ‘Entry fee’ section.

      All Foreign Participants and accompanying persons will have to pay registration 100 euros per head. This will include their transportation from airport and back. All Grandmasters will be provided free accommodation at official hotel.
