“See this is the evil pawn! If it wasnt against me and my mind I wouldnt have lost it and I would have won the game. But he talked me into playing QxQ RxB BXR Nxp Bxh7+ Kxh7 Rxp pxR and Rc1 back rank mate”! “Next time I wont talk to this bad evil pawn and he wont control my mind again”! Professor Fluub said at Shady Acres rest home.

Bobby Fischer angrily complained to the arbiter Lother Schmidt, see this faulty workmanship the felt isnt in the center of the pawn, and it effects the equilibrium of the pawn not only when I move it but when it is just sitting on a square! How can I put this pawn in the center of the square I move it too! No way! The Russians new they would interrupt my concentartion with this lopsided pawn! What do you think Boris, Boris….Wake up Boris”!! “I wouldnt be surprised if the Russians didnt put a tv camera in this pawn to violate our agreement on cameras and I think I hear the cameras motor making noise, listen its going wrrrrrrr wrrrrrrr. Thats it Im out of here”! Game 2 was forfeited and now you know the rest of the story. This is Paul Harvey, Good day.

“With embedded microchip Rybka they will play by themselves, see? Human no longer needed!”

(the even darker response to this is that soon humans might embed microchips wired directly to the cerebral cortex…not exactly what Garry meant by “Active Chess”, alas…)

Ah.. It’s my version of Fischer Random – we randomise the position of everything on the second row instead of the first. Now, where shall I put this pawn?

Very funny Vishy! Super-gluing my finger to the pawn and then starting the clock!
