1…..Nf3! also works the same way. Probably this is a better move though both wins. But this ensures that White King is mated by covering the d2 escape route in case WK wants to flee and prolong the game!.

Actually, black should win with any knight move that isn’t Ne4 or Nh3- those two moves lose to the pawn push. Also, I think black can win still with any king move except the obvious drawing move of Kc2- with the other king moves, the balance of power is unchanged as long as black makes no errors. And finally, 1. …a2 is an obvious draw after 2.f7.

At a glance, using the analyses above, the shortest wins should be 1. …Ne6 and 1. …Nf3. The seem to essentially the same to me.

        1…Nf3!! wins in all lines. For example, 2.f7 Ne1 3.f8=Q Nc2+ 4.Kb1 a2+ 5.Kc1 a1=Q+ 6.Kd2 Qe1+ 7.Kd3 Qe3#. If 2.Kb1, then 2…a2+ 3.Ka1 Ne1! 4.f7 Nc2#.
