It seems today I am early bird.
1.Qf2+ Qxf2 stalemate.
Yes, white is playing for the draw. A better question, though, is 1.Qf2 the only way to draw?
I looked at 1.Kg3 going for the opposition. But, I like 1.Qf2+ because it leads to a forced stalemate.
