Unfortunately 1.Qh1+ Nh4 is a check on white king. One may have to resort to 1.Bf7

            Oops.

        Prof. S. G. Bhat seems to be correct. 1) Bf7 threatens immediate mate (Qh1 and then Rxg6. If Black tries 1) … Rxg7, 2) Qh1+ is still lethal, since Qh4 leads to immediate mate with 3) Qxh4#. If instead 2) … Kg5, 3) Nxe4+, forcing … Kf5 (only move). 4) Qf1+, and now if … Nf4, 5) Qxf4#, or if … Kxe4, 5) Qd3#. Of course 1) … Rxg7 is not “forced,” but I don’t see any Black moves that cook this general solution.

Some other responses just for less brilliant players like me who may have had some chess blindness issues
          1.Bf7 Bf5 2.Qh1+ Kg5 3.Qh4#
          1.Bf7 Qe7 2.Qh1+ Kg5 3.Rxg6+ Kf5 4.Qf1#
          1.Bf7 Qf6 2.Qh1+ Kg5 3.Nxe4+ Kf5 4.Qf1+ Kxe4 5.Qd3#
          1.Bf7 Qh4 2.Bxg6+ Kg5 3.Nxe4#

Also and old puzzle from the past. 1.Bf7 pinning the knight at g6 is the right start.
