The FWCM 2013 shall be played over a maximum of twelve (12) games and the winner of the match shall be the first player to score 6.5 points or more. If the scores are level after the regular twelve (12) games, after a new drawing of colors, four (4) tie-break games shall be played. The games shall be played using the electronic clock starting with 25 minutes for each player with an increment of 10 seconds after each move. In case the match is still drawn, a match of 2 games shall be played with a time control of 5 minutes plus 3 seconds increment after each move. In case of a level score, another 2-game match will be played to determine a winner. If still there is no winner after 5 such matches (total 10 games), one sudden-death game will be played.

FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov appointed IA Ashot Vardapetyan from Armenia as the chief arbiter of the FIDE World Championship Match Anand – Carlsen to be held on November 07-28, 2013 in Chennai, India. Vardapetyan was also the chief arbiter of the World Championship Match Anand – Gelfand (Moscow, 2012).

Very much thrilled to watch the great legends of time,playing against each other.
Skills in these two players are exemplary,now its all the matter how both the players are going to unfold their wit of the game.
When I go through articles related to this tournament many article reflect that “Carlsen” style may have an unmatched impact but these seems to me more than the actual fact of paint,these words of mine doesn’t mean that I undermine the best skills of “Carlsen”,in fact “Carlsen” is one of the great legends of this game.
“Anand” has many vibrant skills in chess game but he keeps it subtle,as his nature goes,Anand has every skill/talent,to win this tournament,all that he needs to do is,employ his skills at right moment using perfect introspection.
Anyway,the up coming tournament,will in no doubt be, a thrilling feast for chess game lovers ,like me.

And the Anand “cheer leading” in the chess media is getting to be a bit much.
