      Carnegie Hall

ANNOUNCING THE CARNEGIE HALL DEBUT OF DOLCISSIMO OPERATIC, CLASSICAL & BROADWAY VOCAL GROUP

      NOVEMBER 22

Dolcissimo, an exciting new vocal group specializing in classical, light opera and Broadway show music will debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall on November 22nd at 7pm performing “STARLIGHT” an evening featuring works by Puccini, Verdi, Bizet, Lehar, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Kern, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Donizetti and Shemer Dolcissimo, an emerging and sophisticated musical troupe known for its heart-throbbing romantic songs and classical melodies is comprised of Esty Tzabar Crisona (Soprano), Dmitri Shevelev (Tenor), Yury Viderman (Tenor), Konstanstin Stepanov (Tenor), Vago John Ohanyan (Baritone and Music Director) and Itay Goren (Piano).

Dolcissimo is a business and artistic collaborative venture between Ms. Tzabar Crisona, Israel’s first winner of the prestigious Eurovision Song Contest and owner of EAJ Productions (www.eajproductions.com) and Mr. Shevelev, owner of My Chess Family (www.mychessfamily.com), who joined their two companies as investors and producers – as well as performers – in this powerful music venture.

“It all started when I met Esty,” says Dmitri, recalling the evening when he first heard her sing at the NY Synagogue. “After that everything was magical – as if things were predestined to happen in the amazing way they’ve turned out.”

The musical talents of Dolcissimo’s highly gifted members blend perfectly, bringing total harmony to the group’s performances. Esty, trained as a classical singer, has an irresistible, angelic voice with a wide vocal range. She came to the U.S. from Israel with impressive credits as an international singer and dancer, having performed in a number of European productions.

A daughter of a father who was an opera singer, Esty’s dream had long been to sing in concerts with four other opera singers. That vision became a reality when, after performing in concerts with Dmitri, the two decided to recruit the three other wonderful talented singers that make up the group and Dolcissimo was born.

Dmitri, the son of two classical pianists, was born in Russia and began singing at the age of six. Before coming to the U.S., he was with the New Israeli Opera for four years. In New York he is known in particular in his Synagogue for beautiful singing, which he says “is a religion in itself.” He is also a consummate chess master and coach, reaching out to chess enthusiasts with lessons for children and adults in the New York area through My Chess Family.

Dolcissimo has been heard on radio stations WPAT (930AM) with John Luke and Teddy Smith, Davidson Radio, WNYC (820AM) with Danny Stiles and WNSW (1430AM). TV appearances include a special presentation on Channel 57 aired in NY, LA and CT.
