      EB election, USCF

Nearly 40,000 ballots for the 2007 Executive Board Election have been sent to USCF members around the country! Have you received yours? If not, be sure to contact Pat Knight at the USCF office to request a replacement.

Voting members who receive Chess Life will receive their ballots with the June issue. (It will be a cover wrap around the magazine.) Voting members who do not receive Chess Life, such as additional family members who are 16 or older, will receive their ballots via first-class mail in early June. Voting members who join or renew in May will also receive their ballots via first-class mail in early June.

The ballot counting will commence at the USCF offices in Crossville TN on Wednesday, July 25th, under the supervision of the Chief Teller, Frank Camaratta. Any USCF member is welcome to observe the ballot counting. Preliminary results will be released by the USCF office by the 12 USCF regions as those regions are completed.

      Here
is my vision for the USCF.
      Here
      is more election information.

      – Mikhail Korenman: He is one of the key components for a successful USCF as an organization. Very few people in the USCF can successfully work with scholastic, college, adult, professional and internet chess. Mikhail not only can work and bridge all these membership groups; he has one of the most impressive records of success. Many chess membership groups do not understand each other and cannot work together. Mikhail can change this. He can also help raise the membership level which means more revenues for our federation. This is why I ask you to please vote for him.

      – Paul Truong: As you all know, Paul is by far the most successful person in chess marketing, promotion and PR in US chess history. He has a unique combination that few possess. He was a chess prodigy and competed at a very high level. But he gave up chess to pursue an incredibly successful professional career. Therefore, he understands the mentality of chess players and he understands how businesses operate. This is why he is able to combine them and make some of the most spectacular deals for chess while no one else can even come close to this. He can help raise additional revenues for the USCF. Without his guidance and lead in this area, the USCF will go nowhere. Anyone who spends 5 minutes talking to him will understand that he is in a different league than the rest of the field in these areas.

      – Randy Bauer: How often do you have a person with Randy’s experience? He was the budget director of the state of Iowa, dealing with multi-billion dollar budgets. Randy is also a chess master and supporter. He served on the USCF EB one year and helped this federation achieve a remarkable turn around. He is a finance guy. His skills and experience in finance is crucial for this federation.Mikhail, Paul and Randy can help the USCF a great deal and I ask you to vote for them.

The current board has done enough damages to the USCF already. There is no strong leadership. It is time for a serious change. It is time to bring in the professionals to turn the USCF into a strong, financially sound and viable organization.

Less than 3,500 ballots have been received out of nearly 40,000 sent. The USCF needs strong leadership to end the destructive politics, poor performance and unprofessional behavior. You can help change this with your votes! Let your voice be heard! Please vote!

Good luck Susan! I hope everyone can unite for chess after the election. Goichberg has done enough damages to chess for too long. It’s time for serious changes.

It’s a sad comment that less than 10% so far have voted.

        Now this cheers me up.

I voted for the team. I know Susan can do it with the entire team elected. But she can not do it alone. That is why they turned on the dirty dirty politics at the uscf forums and their nasty postcards and more. I am more disgusted with the USCF than at any time before. I really got to see some of how bad it is. I know the behind the scene politics have to be much worse than what we see publicly.

Like another poster said. He will never enter a Goichberg tournament again. I join with him. I will never do a Goichberg tournament either. The World Open can rot in Philly now that I have seen the real Goichberg. But those who post on the Forums appear much worse. What a pile of misfits on the forums.
