      China Double Victory in Asian Indoor Games Rapid Chess

      Watch live games of the Asian Indoor Games Rapid Chess in Halongbay, Vietnam. Bu Xiangzhi and Hou Yifan gave China a double victory in the Men’s and Women’s Rapid Chess. Bu defeated compatriot Wang Hao 1.5-1 while Hou beat former Women’s World Champion Zhu Chen by the same score.

      Bu Xiangzhi raises his awards given by FIDE General Secretary Ignatius Leong and Asian Chess Federation Secretary General Hisham Al Taher. Silver went to Wang Hao of China while Krishnan Sasikiran and Murtas Kazhgaleyev received bronze.

      Go to chess-results.com for results and standings of the Swiss System preliminaries. Four players qualified from each division. In the preliminaries Wang (CHN) scored 8 points to top the 9 rd Swiss System followed by Kazhgaleyev (KAZ) with 7 points. Three players tied with 6.5 points each. In the tie break, Bu Xiangzhi of China and Krishnan Sasikiran of India prevailed in the tie break.

      Then in the yesterday’s Men’s semifinal GM Wang Hao defeated Krishnan Sasikiran while Bu Xiangzhi beat Murtas Kazhgaleyev.

      In the women’s division semifinal, Hou Yifan won 1.5:1 over compatriot Zhou Xue of China, while in the other semifinal game Zhu Chen of Qatar beat World Girls Champion Harika Dronavali of India.

        Susan, China is getting really good! India too, What to do? Thats Karpov on his Come Fly with Me Video! hehe. Kasparov says The transboard horsie dont exist, Susan(Nb8-a6-c7-e6-g5). Yet Anand just beat Karpov with the same idea (NG8-f6-e4-d6-b5!) in the other direction! Susan ,whats going on! (Marvin Gaye). hahaha.

        This is incorrect. Hou Yifan won 2:0.
