If presidential elections were determined in a chess match, who would become the new US president? I’d say Obama.

Better still, who would be Russian leader?

To the 1st post Leko doesnt even belong in the the top 20 list of greatest matches! I would realistically say Fischer Karpov, because historically they never played, but the real dream match would have been Kasparov vs Fischer both in their primes. My second choice would be Fischer Tal. Wow what fireworks and inventive genuis would come out of that WC match!

Fischer – Karpov I would have most liked to see. I am not too sure Fischer would have won this. Karpov was much stronger than Spassky, Petrosian, Larsen, Taimanov.

Also Alekhine – Capablanca return match.

And unfortunately, Kramnik deprived us of a return Kasparov – Kramnik match.

Dream match of all time would be Kasparov – Fischer in their primes.

        Anand-Tal,

that is the match between the gentleman and the chess-wizzard.

I will never understand why people do not like much Anand, as person and in his style. He is the deserving champion. Look at him and be glad we have him!

        okay

Fischer/Kasparov of course. Carlsen is not ready for Kasparov. He is not even ready for Anand.
