Fabiano closing in on Corus C title

      Corus, Fabiano Caruana, Holland

Fabiano is closing in on the Corus C title by defeating Ushenina today. He has made incredible progress in the past few years. I am looking forward to seeing him compete in super events soon.

He will get eaten alive in Corus B next year. It will be entertaining to see that.

Can Yifan still get his (maiden?) GM norm? I’m sure she has clinched the IM norm at Corus.

Too bad Fabiano is an Italian Grandmaster. It would have been nice if he has stayed loyal to the USA.

He is not going to move back to USA. He is an Italian citizen. He is supported by the people in Italy. No one gets any support in USA.

I do not understand why the USA is giving free publicity to an Italian Grandmaster.

It is like cheering for Benedict Arnold who was a traitor to the US in the War for Independence. If he decides that he wants to be loyal to his country of origin then let me know. Until then stop talking about this guy. He is a no body.
