I agree.
I expect to see better management of major events and the World Championship, not that there’s an adult in charge of FIDE’s business arm. (Bessel Kok.)
Unfortunately the corruption in FIDE will continue. My chess coach was supposed to have been awarded his FM title a while back after winning a tournament. But because he was working for a rival company of Ignatius Leong (a FIDE big wig out in Singapoe) and Leong intentionally altered the results of the tournament so that my friend’s rating would not cross the critical FM threshhold.
That kind of underhanded corruption will continue.
