FIDE representative office will be opened in Ugra
FIDE representative office will be opened in the capital of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra, – said Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, the President of the World Chess Federation.
«A remarkable Chess Academy was constructed in the capital of Ugra; much was done for the development of chess. We will think over how to use this infrastructure in all possible ways and the question of opening our representative office here is being discussed, “- said the FIDE President. However, he noted that more detailed information on the final decision and the composition of FIDE representative office here will be announced in the nearest future.
Let us remind you that Khanty-Mansiysk is hosting the 39th World Chess Olympiad and the 81st FIDE Congress these days. FIDE Congress will last until 2 October 2010 and its sessions are held in the Chess Academy that was opened on September 10, 2010 .
