England. No doubt at this time (England just scored their first goal). The US have NO chance whatsoever by now (about 5 mins into the game).

Then again… the British guys just shot themselves an own goal. So I ain’t so sure any more. Typical of the British… Stuuuuped.

Don’t confuse the English and the British. Completely different! Wars have been fought for hundreds of years on this point.

Playing tonight are the English, NOT the British. In fact wouldn’t surprise me if the rest of Britain was supporting the USA, not England. ABE.

I will go out on a limb and say that the English goalie will muff a shot on goal and blunder to a draw. :~)

I’m English and a draw against the U.S.A. is just not good enough. I think our players need to wake up fast! Very poor result for England againts a crummy American team!

        I’d say 1-1

Yes, a draw and the way our (England) team played, indicates to me that they are NOT going far in this world cup!!

That said, I remember 1986 well. We got off to a slow start there too, but progressed to the Quarter Finals. We may even have gone through to the Semis, if Maradonna didn’t have a cheating hand in the result. The Golden Boot prize for Lineker was a big plus.

        Point taken 🙂

Btw – currently, the Germans are my best bet for winning the WC. They’re delivering such a tremendous game against Australia.

Those guys are really good. I’d say 3:0 is a plausible forecast (some 50 mins into the game)
