With what kind of clock are you playing? A Fischer clock?
Are you playing a 15 minutes game, per player, with 1 second incremental?

What was the result though ?
I think Fischerandom is the true variant of chess. I love it. It is such a rich universe of chess to explore and it is chess, whereas most if not all other chess variants are not really chess. For me as a weak player, opening preparation is not an issue anyway so that factor of chess isn’t a problem for me, but Fischerandom seriously overcomes the opening preparation problems in pro-chess. It is also a whole new universe of potential chess to explore, and all in the spirit of the game as it really is chess. I’d love to see some books coming out on Fischerandom explaining how to open in certain types of positions etc and starting opening lines for the different positions. I think this is inevitable, but because there are 960 starting positions this will never be a problem.
I think fischer random is too little, too late to save chess. What you people need is a virtual reality version of chess with 3-d pieces occasionally flashing in and out of the action, where characters (pieces) cope with changing circumstances (just like life), where a computer will have difficulty mimicking a human, with different levels on different boards, the outcome uncertain until the final mote is crossed, until the final castle wall is scaled, until the the last fire is quenched…its time that we made the machines play like us! not us play like them!
