      Armenian chess player Lilit Mkrtchyan tied the match with her Polish counterpart Iveta Raylich during the 10th round of the European women’s chess tournament and closes the top three with 7.5 points.

      Russian chess player Yekaterina Kovalevskaya heads the chess board with 8 points along with 7 other female chess players with 7.5 points respectively.

      Two female chess players of the Armenian team-Nelly Aghinyan and Siranush Andreasyan-faced off in the 10th round and the match was tied. Lilit Galoyan scored half a point during the match with player of “Mika” Nino Kurtsidze, while Anna Hayrapetyan won Larisa Khropova.

      The European men’s chess tournament held at the Budva city of Chernogorya is finally over. Russian Yevgeni Tomashevski was declared champion and followed by Vladimir Malakhov, while Georgian Baadur Jobava headed the top three.

      The women’s “Grand Prix” play-offs continue in Istanbul. Elina Danielyan tied the match in the 10th round while facing off with one of the leading chess players Hou Yifan. Danielyan is at 4th place with 7 points, while Yifan, Zou and Coneru head the chess board with 7.5 points respectively.
